Parent & Child Classes


These classes were a big hit in our last class brochure so we have decided to do more. So grab your child or grandchild and come enjoy an afternoon in our kitchen that will make their mouths water to try new foods and learn a few things along the way. Please sign up in pairs. This way we can make sure we can have an even number of kids and parents/grandparents.

The Brunch Bunch: Sunday January 8

Kids love breakfast foods anytime of day and we adults do too. In this hands-on class we will be making some favorites. Raised waffles with maple syrup and sautéed apples; Learn how to make your own “Joe’s Special” this is what we in the restaurant world would make on Sunday mornings for the staff. This is a scrambled egg creations with all different kinds of ingredients. We will have a pantry of ingredients to create your own. We will also make fresh fruit kebobs with a yogurt cream cheese dip. Catherine St. John; 1:30 – 4:00 pm; $90 per pair

Asian Stir-Fry Fun: Saturday March 11

What better way to teach some knife skills, organizational skills then getting in the kitchen and creating some Asian favorites. We will be making Chicken and Pineapple Fried Rice; Vegetable Lo Mein and Chinese Chicken Salad with Asian cabbage, vegetables and Mandarin oranges. Cupcake Explosion: Saturday March 25

Who does not love cupcakes? Come spend a few hours with us making some tasty treats. You will be able to take home your cupcakes (that is if you do not eat them all). We will practice your icing, piping and decorating skills. Cookies n Creme; Chocolate mocha and Mini raspberry filled cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. Please bring a sheet pan or pastry box to take home your cupcakes. Catherine St. John; 12:30 – 3:30 pm; $90 per pair

Italian Feast: Sunday April 23

If you grew up in an Italian family Sunday was the day everyone gathered (usually at Grandma’s house) and had a big mid-day Sunday meal. Se we too will gather in the kitchen and make some classic Italian favorites. We will start with a big family style Italian style salad with mixed greens, cheese, pepperoncini peppers, olives, Italian meats and Italian dressing; we will then move on to Chicken Parmesan and a 3 cheese Cannellini (stuffed and rolled lasagne noodles) in a bechamel sauce and served with a red sauce; Garlic herb beard and we will finish with Strawberries with a balsamic glaze served over vanilla ice cream.
